Brief Description





The Municipal Bonds team is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join a highly business-focused technology team to work closely with developers, operations, & QA to enhance and augment current trading platforms to meet on-going functional and regulatory related changes.  The role will require managing a large roster of client implementation and integration requests originating from multiple trading desks.   There will be an emphasis on building & maintaining relationships between internal technology/business groups and external vendors/clients, while defining business requirements for excelled support.  The candidate must have experience in successfully delivering high profile technology efforts within a high pressure environment.




Job Responsibilities





Successful candidates will have 7-10 years of experience working in a Business Analyst capacity role and be responsible for the following:

·         Participate in all phases of application development or application integration projects including, evaluation, project estimation, requirement recommendations, functional specification, technical design, test planning and test execution, implementation planning, and turnover to production.

·         Manage project objectives & timelines and prepare mitigation plans to ensure project objectives are met

·         Work to resolve productivity issues and operational impacts in the business brought about by shifting project parameters

·         Generate accurate and reliable estimates for project delivery by introducing more formal estimation methods

·         Collaborate with staff in technology, trading, and operations to build strong technical reports and processes

·         Conduct project meetings and perform project tracking & analysis as necessary

·         Provide status reports to senior technology management.

·         Provide guidance and instructions to QA team in creating test scenarios

·         Ability to manage junior analysts in project work flow and test plan development

 




Qualifications





Job Requirements:

·         Strong knowledge of the project development lifecycle

·         Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities

·          Ability to grasp technical concepts and apply them to business requirements.  

·         Experience in gathering and documenting business/software requirements

·         Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

·         A team player who can demonstrate flexibility and adaptability

·         Good interpersonal and communication skills

o        Excellent written skills to address audiences at various levels

o        Must be able to communicate with technology professionals and clients in a professional manor

·         Self directed

o        Ability to take a task and drive it to completion

o        Knows when to escalate and drive to on schedule delivery

o        Ask questions & work around issues

·         Experience working within a formal QA environment

·         Strong leader in work groups

·         Ability to refocus group on priorities
