We are currently seeking a full-time Director, Product Management. The position shall be based in Jersey City, NJ.  This individual will have responsibility and oversight for the Trading Systems Desktop portfolio.The Director will be responsible for the development, growth and roadmap for the desktop portfolio including trading turret, web and PC applications as well as the CTI/Web Services integration with 3rd party partners creating a eco-system. This includes on-going technology assessment within the context of the competitive landscape. Based on market-driven feedback from customers and prospects, the PM will write clear product requirements. The PM will work closely with development managers to define the contents and delivery of ongoing product releases and ensure that the requirements are met for each stage of IPCs product development process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage formal requirements capture for ongoing capabilities of existing products to maintain value for the institutional trading on a global basis.
  • To research, analyze, and monitor financial trading market, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
  • To establish, communicate and manage the IPCs related contractual commitments in support of customers and supplier contracts.
  • To generate a detailed product definition for the development for the support of IPC trading systems solutions to support Trading Systems business.
  •  To define and co-ordinate the security enhancements and ongoing security demands for the trading systems desktop products and associated products.
  •  To provide product and solutions support to IPC customer solutions (Pre-sales/ Tender Support) groups on a global basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • Bachelors Degree (B.A., B.S.) or equivalent or work experiences a strong plus. 
  • It is highly desirable that the candidate also possess a post-graduate qualification
  • The candidate should have technical and commercial understanding of trading environment and the user needs of traders. Ideally their experience are with companies such as Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, Pivot Solutions, Wall Street Source, Dow Jones, Telekurs, Quick, Tenfore and other financial news and products companies.
  • Proven success in managing the whole product life cycle including product launches
  • Knowledge of financial trading business is required, knowledge of the financial institutional, broker and buy-side customers globally is ideal.
  • The candidate will require a strong grasp of technology in the communications sector with a bias towards financial services.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to sales, pre-sales and customers.
